Local politician’s hairpiece attacks small child at rally

Grants Pass- Most political rallies have traditionally involved the shaking of hands and kissing of babies. Yesterday’s event at GP High School was very different.
Approximately 25 people were in attendance at rally for a county commisioner candidate Jon Smythe, including at least 2 children. Leanne Johnson witnessed the whole affair, “ Jon was at the podium talking about how his glory days as a high school football star gives him a unique ability to oversee an entire county, when all the sudden his hairpiece, took flight! We thought it was the wind…”
Leanne soon realized that the toupee was actually flying directly at a young child in the crowd and subsequently attempted to nestle itself on the nearly bald toddler’s head. In the ensuing chaos one person suffered minor injuries and was treated and released. Thankfully no one was perm- anently hurt or dyed!
Jon issued an apology to the crowd and noted that it was a “hair raising experience
