Local Businesses suffer after annual Trimmigrant Exodus

Murphy, Oregon- With harvest season in the rear view mirror and the trimming season drawing to a close, many small businesses and convenience stores are feeling the pinch from reduced sales. The Quicktrip in Murphy is reeling from a %500 reduction in corndog and White Claw sales. The store manager is concerned about the amount of stock on hand. “It’s money on the shelf, I am not sure that the product will hold ‘til next fall”. Meanwhile, down the street, the Buckboard is experiencing a serious drop off in business. Additionally, reductions in marijuana farms have left local business owners with a surplus of air fresheners.
